Drinking beer is one thing, tasting it is another. In our premiere episode we sit down with Haley Campbell, Director of Quality Control at Rising Tide. We talk about yeast, swirling, macro beers, wiffle ball, Ren & Stimpy and Harry Potter.

We learn that properly tasting a beer allows you to better appreciate the craftsmanship that was put into making the beer. There are four steps to tasting your beer properly: Look, Agitate (or swirl), Smell and Taste. Most craft beer drinkers do this as part of habit if not on purpose. When a beer comes your way, you see it. It is second nature to swirl it around a bit and then smell it. The smell of a beer is part of the experience. And then of course you taste it!
