This week we take you to Hallowell Maine, home of the Liberal Cup Public House and Brewery. Casey Hines sat down with us to give a tour the history of Liberal Cup.
Jeff Houghton, founder of Liberal Cup went to England to learn traditional brewing, her came back to Maine and worked of many of the pioneers including Geary’s and Gritty’s. His vision was to start a brewpub: a restaurant that brews its own beer and opened up the Liberal Cup in 2000. He also owns a sister brewpub Run of the Mill Public House & Brewery down in Saco.
